 Analysis The process of adding value to the information collected. Example: Financial analysis of a rival's employment levels over time may indicate that the rival is creating a more-cost effective operation, one that has lower costs than your own. Value may be added by comparing and contrasting information found, such as through benchmarking or gap analysis or through use of the Porter strategy model, as well as through other analytical techniques.
