Intelligence Process Consulting in Telecom
Client Situation
Our client, the corporate headquarters of a global telecom equipment manufacturer
had several false starts in building a CI system to serve the needs of
both the parent company, which is located outside the US, and the operating
units, which are located around the globe.
Fuld Approach
Fuld & Company interviewed executives and line managers worldwide
to ascertain the CI needs of the organization. To speed up the information
gathering phase, focus groups were held at business units to gather information
from mid-level managers. We then assisted the client in reconciling the
disparate views in a joint planning session.
Benefits and Implications
The net result was that Fuld & Company focused the corporation's efforts
on developing a model CI process that can be implemented in one business
unit and then ported to other business units with modifications as needed.
