Client Situation
Our client, a telecommunications service provider, was concerned about the effectiveness of its organizational structure. In order to assess how similar firms had addressed this issue, the client asked Fuld & Company to update or create organization charts for key competitors.

Fuld Approach
Fuld & Company found that the administrative staff for the top executives to be extremely helpful in determining reporting relationships. Then Fuld & Company contacted several of the newly appointed executives to understand the responsibilities of these executives vs. the content of the previous jobs.

Benefits and Implications
By understanding what functions were placed together in the organization and who was leading these efforts, our client could understand how its competitors were approaching certain markets and compare their efforts to its own.
